Our Registrars

Our registrars are fully qualified medical Doctors who are undertaking advanced training in General Practice. The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners requires aspiring General Practitioners to complete an advanced GP training program. Over at least two years, GP Registrars attend placements at up to four different medical practices. At Wellers Hill Medical Centre, they have an opportunity to work in a highly functioning, and supportive environment that focuses on all aspects of general practice.
Our registrars are closely supervised in all aspects of their clinical work by our GPTQ accredited supervisors, Dr Nicholas Gianarakis and Dr Timothy Copland and at times may ask them to assist in your consultation for their knowledge and advice in your health care.
Our current registrars are Dr Jodie Caris, Dr Gretel Whiteman and Dr Anna McWilliam.

Dr Valeria Spivak attained a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine with honours from Tyumen State Medical University, Russia, before moving to Australia in 2005. Prior to deciding to focus primarily on private practice, Dr Spivak worked as a Psychiatrist and Clinical Director in Inpatient and ED Mental Health Services at Logan Hospital. With a strong interest in medical education, she also took on the roles of Clinical Lead in Undergraduate Mental Health and Senior Lecturer at Griffith University.
